Meet our Doctors
Dr. Ronald Baldridge, DVM was born and raised in Putnam county. He did his undergraduate work in animal nutrition and received his DVM from The Ohio State University in 1992. Dr. Baldridge came back to Ottawa that same year and soon became a partner in the practice. Today he is the sole owner of the practice and still lives on his family homestead near Gilboa with his wife Kristin, and two children, Jared, and Samantha. Animals are a big part of the Baldridge family life.Which includes a dog named Kima, three cats; Calico, Jack, and Annie, as well as a couple of turtles and several snakes in the pet arsenal!! Dr. Baldridge's hobbies include beekeeping and managing his family's property for wildlife habitat.
Dr. Kimberly Giesige, DVM is originally from Imlay City, Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree in animal science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2002. Later that same year, she decided to join the Ottawa and Bluffton Veterinary Clinics. Her professional interests include ophthalmology, small animal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She currently resides outside of Gilboa with her husband, their two sons and daughter - Austin, Anthony and Anya, and their cat Harlee. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, reading, cooking, and gardening.
Dr. Steve Barthelmas, DVM originally hails from Circleville, Ohio where he grew up on a farm raising beef cattle. It was all this work with animals that helped him decide to become a veterinarian at a young age. Steve has been a veterinarian at the Ottawa and Bluffton Veterinary Clinics since graduating in 2006 from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and thoroughly enjoys the challenging and rewarding aspects of veterinary medicine. He currently has a special interest in small animal medicine and orthopedic surgery. Steve now resides in Northwest Ohio with his two sons and his dog Wade. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his kids and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Tracy Strauer, DVM was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended Tusculum College in Greenville, Tennessee where she majored in Biology and Chemistry. She then headed overseas and obtained her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Purdue University and graduated in 2010. She took a leap of faith, moved to Ohio, and joined our veterinary family here at the Ottawa Veterinary Clinic and Bluffton Veterinary Hospital that same year. Tracy's professional interests are small animal medicine and wound management. She currently resides in Putnam County with her husband Kyle, her 3 sons, Redmond, Duncan and Patrick, and their fur babies, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her free time, Tracy enjoys teaching spin class, running, photography, and traveling.
